This bill prohibits the Minnesota Department of Human Services and the Department of Children, Youth, and Families from rescinding public assistance benefits based on a person's vaccination status. Specifically, the bill states that benefits cannot be revoked for an individual due to their own vaccination status or for a parent, caregiver, guardian, legal custodian, or head of household due to the vaccination status of a person under their care. The bill adds these provisions as new subdivisions to Minnesota Statutes 2024, Sections 142A.03 and 256.01.
