  • Installation of water service or supply pipes connected to wells, water storage tanks, pressure tanks, and master shutoff valves.
  • Installation of frost-free hydrants equipped with antisiphon devices outside buildings.
  • Installation of control valves on well water service pipes located outside buildings.
  • Placement of master shutoff valves within three feet of the final pressure tank leading to distribution lines.

Significant Changes

• The bill amends Minnesota Statutes 2024 section 326B.43 and 326B.46 to incorporate these exemptions. This allows well contractors who are licensed and bonded under sections 103I.525 or 103I.531 to bypass certain regulatory requirements, provided that their work is recognized under section 144.383.
