This bill proposes allocating $15 million from Minnesota's general fund in the fiscal year 2026 to WE WIN Institute Inc., a nonprofit organization in Minneapolis. The funding is intended for acquiring and improving property to expand and renovate their facilities. These facilities provide educational, social, and culturally specific programs, as well as food services to Black students in Minneapolis. The money may also be used to purchase an additional property for community gatherings and partnerships. The funding is a one-time grant and must be used by the completion or abandonment of the project according to state legislation. This allocation is in addition to previous funding provided in 2023.
