This bill is a proposal by the state of Minnesota to allocate $8,900,000 for the purpose of upgrading and repairing the sanitary sewer systems in the city of Waseca. The improvements will focus on designing, constructing, and providing engineering for the revamp of existing infrastructure to control excess water flow into sewers and increase the capacity of the sewer system. This project also includes the rebuilding of the Nelson Lift Station as well as associated streets, sidewalks, and other related structures. To fund these improvements, the state plans to sell and issue bonds totaling the amount specified. Importantly, this funding does not require any financial contribution from local or non-state sources.
