This bill (S.F. No. 1847) proposes an appropriation of $762,000 from the Minnesota general fund in fiscal year 2026 for transportation improvements in the city of Columbus. The funds will be allocated to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to enhance Hornsby Street Northeast, from Trunk Highway 97 to Eureka Avenue. The project includes predesign, design, construction, street reconstruction, stormwater system upgrades, and improvements to adjacent roads. The funding will remain available until the project is completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 16A.642.
