This bill appropriates $1,500,000 from the general fund for fiscal year 2026 to the Metropolitan Council. The funds will be used for grants to implementing agencies within the Metropolitan Council's regional parks system to support efforts to reduce the spread of aquatic invasive species. The appropriation may be used for prevention, containment, control, and enforcement measures related to managing aquatic invasive species. The funding will remain available until June 30, 2027.
