This bill proposes an amendment to Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256B.76, to increase reimbursement rates for long-term ambulatory electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring services provided by diagnostic testing facilities. Specifically, it defines these services as the use of external cardiac patch monitoring devices worn for at least 48 hours to detect heart arrhythmias.

Effective January 1, 2026, or upon receiving federal approval (whichever is later), the bill mandates that the Minnesota Department of Human Services reimburse these services at 100% of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule rate or higher.
