  • Verification of veteran status by the Department of Veterans Affairs before certification for contract preferences.

• Economically Disadvantaged Areas:

  • Defines criteria for small businesses in economically disadvantaged areas and outlines preference procedures for them.
  • Designates specific areas as economically disadvantaged to encourage local business development.

Significant Changes to Existing Law

• Repeal of Minnesota Statutes 16C.36: This section, which involved reorganization services under a master contract, is repealed. Previously, it facilitated data analytics and internal management reorganization for efficiency.
