This bill proposes allocating $10,000,000 from state bonds to fund the expansion and renovation of the St. David's Center in Minneapolis. This center provides essential services such as early childhood education, children’s mental health, and pediatric therapy. It also supports services that help stabilize families, build skills, and improve educational and health outcomes for Minnesotans. The money will be used for designing, constructing, furnishing, and equipping the expanded facility. The funds from this bill will be available until the project is either completed or abandoned. Additionally, any non-state money spent on this project since January 1, 2024, will count towards any non-state funding commitments required for the project. To finance this appropriation, the bill also authorizes the sale and issuance of state bonds.
