This Minnesota Senate bill (S.F. No. 2223) proposes allocating $10 million from state bond proceeds to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of Monticello. The funds would be used for the design, engineering, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a water treatment facility, including related water utility infrastructure. This appropriation is in addition to a previous allocation made in Laws 2023, Chapter 72, Article 1, Section 23, Subdivision 18.

To fund this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue bonds up to $10 million, following the provisions of Minnesota Statutes (Sections 16A.631 to 16A.675) and the Minnesota Constitution (Article XI, Sections 4-7).
