This bill, known as S.F. No. 1257, proposes to allocate $8,000,000 in the fiscal year 2026 from Minnesota's general fund to finance various aspects of the Progress Parkway project in Eveleth. This funding will cover the preliminary planning, design, engineering, environmental analysis, land purchase, and actual construction and reconstruction necessary for enhancements and realignments of the parkway. The parkway project aims to improve intersections and extend the road from U.S. Highway 53 and St. Louis County State-Aid Highway 142 to Trunk Highway 37 and Station 44 Road. This financial allocation is in addition to previous funds appropriated in 2023 for the same project. The funds will be available until June 30, 2029.
