This bill proposes to allocate $8,000,000 in 2026 from the general fund for various tasks related to the development of Progress Parkway in Eveleth, Minnesota. These tasks include planning, designing, engineering, environmental checking and handling, acquiring land, and building and fixing roads. Specifically, the funds will help improve intersections and adjust the positioning of the road from U.S. Highway 53 to Highway 37 in Eveleth. This budget is in addition to previous funds allocated for the same project in 2023. The earmarked budget will be available until June 30, 2029.
