This bill, set forth by the Minnesota Legislature, mandates that various multi-member groups within the state government such as committees, councils, task forces, and working groups, will automatically expire two years after the enactment of the law that established them. Exceptions are made for licensing boards and any group which a different expiration date specified when it was created. Additionally, by February 2026, the Legislative Coordinating Commission is required to review and report on all multi-member agencies. This report is to include information like enabling statutes, expiration dates, recent meeting dates, responsibilities, and achievements of these groups, and identify which, if any, are redundant or unnecessary.
