This bill proposes that members of the Minnesota legislature who are on committees dealing with education policy or finance must spend at least 12 hours every two years observing either a teacher or an administrator in an elementary, middle, or secondary school. These members must then report details of their observations, including the date, hours, names of the individuals observed, the school location, and the grade levels involved. This information must be submitted electronically to the Legislative Reference Library and made publicly available on its website. Additionally, the House of Representatives and the Senate are required to adopt rules to implement this requirement.
